The Aggie ring is one of the most recognizable traditions at Texas A&M and worn all over the world with great pride.  Traditions Council is gearing up for Run for the Ring (R4R), a 5K race started in 2005. R4R provides FIVE Aggie Ring Scholarships (two men’s, two women’s, and one more that will be determined on the day) each year to currently enrolled students through a randomly selected drawing. In 2015, Traditions Council was fortunate enough to raise over $25,000 and make the Traditions Council Endowed Aggie Ring Endowment in Memory of Patrick H Alexander, Jr ’89. This endowment will help generations of Aggies attain their ring.
Race day is full of Aggie comraderie and fun, with the Yell Leaders kicking off the race and Bus 12 loudly blaring the War Hymn as runners make their way through campus.  Several student organizations perform for the runners while they anxiously await the drawings for an assortment of door prizes and the FIVE Aggie Ring scholarships.
