Why does R4R cost $10?

This price covers the cost of your t-shirt, runner packet, online pay processing fees and administrative costs. And, it allows Traditions Council to make a small profit, in which 100% of all profit will go towards the scholarship ring endowment and Run for the Ring.

Who is allowed to participate?

Current students, former students, community members, people of all ages, and visitors are all welcomed to participate. Bring 'em all!

Can I bring my dog or pet?

Absolutely. We do ask that you utilize a leash.

I don't run. Can I walk?

Of course. Runners, walkers and strollers are allowed.

Can I bike?

No. Sorry. Bicylces, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards or anything else with wheels will not be permitted.

So, what happens if it rains?

The race will continue if it is only raining. But, if it lightening or thunders, the run will be cancelled and most likely not rescheduled, due to it already being late in the year. Pre-registered sales are non-refundable but you will still be able to pick up your t-shirt!

Will there be snacks? Water?

Of course! Jason's Deli has graciously donated plenty of water and snacks for participants after completion of the race.

Do I have to be there in order to be entered and win?

Yes. You must be registered, checked-in, and complete the race in order to be entered. You must also be present at the time of the drawing to win.

I already have an Aggie Ring and a diamond. Can I run for someone else?

Absolutely. Participants, who may or may not be a current student themself, may run for only a currently enrolled graduate or undergradute student. Participants will not be allowed to run for any member of Traditions Council.

Where can I park?

Good question. Parking is available for free in Lot 48 (east side of Kyle field) or you may pay to park in the University Center Garage (Koldus) off of Houston St or West Campus Garage off of Joe Routt Blvd.

Where will I be able to put my stuff? You know, like my purse, keys and wallet?

Right, of course! This year we are pleased to say that we will have a bag check! Bag check will be in the gazebo located in Spence Park. This bag check area will be fully staffed at all times for your convenience.

Where will the race begin and end?

The race will begin and end off of Houston St. right next to Spence Park.
